All it takes is a few hours a month to make a difference in the lives of terminally ill patients and their families. Volunteers are crucial to hospice patients and their families. They provide support that helps enhance a patient’s quality of life and reduces families’ caregiving burdens. Volunteers may provide their services in the hospice office, patients’ homes, and nursing home facilities to name a few locations. The most important requirement for becoming a Hospice Volunteer is simply to be present in the lives of a Hospice Patient and their family!
