Second Harvest Food Bank is celebrating the Day of Beneficence with Ball State Alumni! Bringing Student Volunteers and Alumni together!

Please DO NOT pass up this opportunity (HELP is CRITICALLY needed)

Projects like: box packing, flyer folding, white line cleaning, produce sorting, trash taking out, sanitizing, hopefully a little outdoor clean-up or flower planting (weather permitting).

Please wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty and layers are best as the tasks change frequently.

You must have on closed toed shoes, a mask and wearing gloves when handling items that are to be passed out. Social distancing is required. We do have masks and gloves for everyone. Appropriate masks are to cover your mouth and nose.

We ask that you not bring in outside food or beverages for these shifts. Bottled water is available in our Community Room cooler. Please leave all personal items in your vehicle or see Kellie about storing them away.

You will have your temp checked upon sign in. Anyone with a fever or experiencing any type of symptoms of illness will not be permitted to volunteer that day.

  1. Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.

  2. Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.

If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.
