IU Health Ball Memorial Hospice

Patient Facing Volunteers visit with patients,to provide companionship. This may give the Caregiver/Spouse time to rest, run an errand or even step out for some much needed fresh air. The most important part of being a Hospice Volunteer may be just to be present in the moment, and listen. This may be to the patient or family as they voice fears, questions and concerns they are holding inside. You the Hospice Volunteer are a safe place to land those thoughts as you aren't family!

Office/Clerical Volunteers assist our Administrative Team with a vast number of tasks in our Main Hospice Office. This may be assisting to plan for an event. Filing, answering phones, paperwork, mailings etc.

Bereavement Volunteers assist our Bereavement Team with Support Groups, Memorial Services, Bereavement Cards and assisting our families who have lost a loved one.
