MOM's is such a great learning experience that I have continuously been interested in going to more regularly. This semester I am fortunate enough to be able to go every Monday to volunteer and learn how to be an effective teacher.
I was able to help cook residents dinner for their group meeting. It felt good to help to make sure the residents were taken care of.
Volunteered to clean-up the Miller Wildlife Reserve and remove invasive species within the environment.
It felt great to know that I was giving back to my university's community while also benefitting my own organization at the same time
Music and memory is an amazing organization that brings music to dementia patients. The residents there love the company and the music. Even though they have dementia, they remember the music, which helps them remember and reminisce on other memories they have.
Great experience. Collaboration with Alpha Phi Alpha and Phi Delta Theta. I was responsible for cutting wood, raking leaves, and painting buildings.
Updating my hours that didn't count from last semester... We had a community service retreat at Camp adventure and I personally blew all of the leaves off of all of their paths at the camp.
