Assisted with United Way book giveaway at Grissom Elementary School.

I assisted with United Way's book giveaway project at South View Elementary School. We gave away hundreds of books to second- and third-graders to help combat summer slide.

I am working with United Way to expand a program we piloted last year to give books to elementary school children to read over summer break with the hopeful goal of stemming summer slump. I researched and pitched the idea last year, and we piloted it at South View. This was a planning meeting with Jim Flatford and Nate Rose to discuss results and consider how to expand to Grissom Elementary in spring 2019.

I assisted in kindergarten class.

I helped in the main office.
