Great visit once again! This time it was filled with going through potatoes and bagging them.
This time at Second Harvest, I helped clean the warehouse and did lots of packaging up orders. It was great to help out the staff and work with the other volunteers.
Great place to volunteer at! This time I worked on sporting and bagging produce as well as working the machine to fold brochures.
helped with filling starter plant baskets
This was a great experience of getting to bring to life the vision that the Studio has for their upcoming Wizard of Oz showcase.
At this event I got to welcome guests and families into the barn and help set up with anything needed. I also got to spend time at one of the booths and interact with kids and making crafts with them. Also helping with the parade and getting tp be apart of it with blowing bubbles. Lastly I also assisted in any clean up helped needed when the event was wrapping up.
Here I went back to the place I volunteered a lot in high school. I went to one of the Ronald McDonald Houses in my hometown, this one is connected to the Deaconess hospital. Here i went in solo and clean the living quarters for families staying. I swept and mopped the floors, cleaned the counter tops and more. I did this all throughout the living room, dinning room, kitchen, office space, and hallways in the house.
Here once again I popped back in to help with lunch service for the day. I volunteered here a ton in high school and when I go back home, its one of the top places I love to give back to. Here I helped prepare lunch with some of the residences and served lunch to all guests and residents. I also helped clean up after serving hours.
This outreach was all about helping the Indy 500 festival program. Here I helped packed backpacks fo a short amount of time. In these backpacks were goodies for the kids. Then I loaded up the cars and went into the schools to drop off the backpacks for the kids.
This experience was so heartfelt for me. I went into the Granted head offices in Evansville, and assisted Susan with anything she needed. Granted is all about filling the Southern Indiana's Make-A-Wishes. Susan informed me about all the wishing they are trying to grant, how they have still been going with COVID going on, and more. During my time helping, I assisted Susan with all of her office task. I organized receipts, filed paperwork, and helped with anything else she needed. Susan does so much on her own and it was a pleasure of mine to go in and help her anyway needed even if it was only for a short amount of time.
