On this day, I helped in the kitchen with getting lunch portioned out and delivered to classrooms. After that, we spent the rest of my time preparing for snack time and getting the dishes done as they came in.
On this day, I actually helped out in a classroom during outdoor play time. This was a fun day for me because I was able to interact with the students.
I caught up the dishes, helped prepare lunch, and helped do the dishes after lunch. I distributed the carrots and mandarin oranges into separate bowls for each classroom. I then dropped them off and did the dishes as they brought them to me.
This day, I decorated the front cabinet with all of the teachers names on turkeys, leaves, and acorns for Thanksgiving. I then helped complete the cleaning list, which included wiping down all of the outdoor play equipment, sweeping the hallways, and vacuuming the hallway carpets.
This day, I collected the finished feathers from each classroom and began putting up the bulletin board with the help of another volunteer. We got almost all of it together. The only thing that was missing were the feathers from the classrooms that had not got to finish them yet.
On this day I looked up ideas to create a Thanksgiving bulletin board in the hallway. I chose one and got it approved by the staff. I cut out all of the pieces I needed. For each feather of the turkey, the different classrooms were to have the children put their handprints on it. So, I left them with this assignment.
Today, I helped Ola with cleaning around the kitchen. Then, I helped the yellow room with different craft project preparations. Finally, I helped get the children's nap things together and set out.
