This summer I interned with Allies Inc. on Monday's free of charge. Allies is a nonprofit in Indianapolis committed to empowering survivors of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation through mentorship. I worked on podcast transcriptions and some event planning aspects.

I held a community outreach event at Bruster's where young girls could come learn about the Indy500, make a princess sash and get free ice cream.
I provided childcare for a local family free of charge while their daycare was closed due to illness.
I donated my time to help design a banner and decals for the Indiana Nitro Baseball Organization in honor of a player who passed away a few weeks ago.
I went to two different schools in Warren County and read to their students about women's history month and the Indy 500 coming up in May.
I tutor a high schooler who struggles in his Spanish class without compensation
Over fall break I babysat for a family friend who lost her husband recently. Allison is a good friend of my moms and when I was home she had told me she really needed to study for her social work license exam coming up. I offered to spend the evening with her kids without payment so that she could focus on her studies. We went to a local park and had a picnic and played, and then we go ice cream.
We packed 2,000 sack lunces for the Muncie soup kitchen with the Buckingham career team. It was assembly line style and I was in charge of putting granola bars in the bags. It was actually very fun adn it went by super fast!
I dog sat without compensation for a weekend. I spent time with the dogs, fed them, played with them, and made sure they got their medications.
